Hey everyone! My name is Allison Harvey. I played softball at Princeton and graduated in 2020 with an degree in Pubic and International Affairs. I’m from Orange County, CA and I love coffee (just black, go ahead and call me crazy), sports (diehard 49er fan here), and the beach (who doesn’t?). I’m currently taking a gap year and planning to attend law school in the fall of 2021.

I’ve been checking out Medium for a while now, but I’m not much of a writer myself. I love reading various articles from writers of all different experience levels and backgrounds, so I figured I’d give this a shot.

I didn’t have a plan when I got kicked off campus mid-March, except that I would have to take the LSAT and apply to schools. Luckily, I connected with an alumna and joined this super cool startup. Working for a startup has been such an experience. I’ve probably already learned more in the past few months than I would have doing anything else. Every day is a learning experience. I feel like I get way more responsibility than a 22-year-old would get at any other company. It’s been nice (and often a challenge) working at home, which has given me a lot of free time and material to write about.

Hit that follow button if you want to read about some of my experiences at a startup and working during a pandemic as a recent grad. I’ll also probably sprinkle in some quarantine musings, sports, coffee, and (socially distanced for the time being) adventures with friends.

Happy reading!
